At RISE Climate + Health Collective, we believe that the health of people and the planet are inseparable. Our work is rooted in the principles of planetary health, an approach to understanding and addressing the human-driven impact on Earth’s systems that are causing climate change.

Founder, Dr. Jo Bjorgaard (she/her) is a nurse, strategist, and connector across systems working at the intersection of climate, health, and transformation.
With a background in clinical care and deep experience in operations and organizational strategy, Jo brings a rare lens to this work—connecting frontline realities with systems-level change. She’s spent her career weaving together teams, institutions, and movements that are serious about rethinking how we care for people and the planet.
